The Story Behind HEG
Carlos L Hernandez founded Hernandez Elite Guardians LLC in 2025 — but his story in service started long before that.
Born and raised in Cuba, Hernandez trained as a nurse, where he learned early that protecting people means being fully present, calm under pressure, and genuinely invested in their wellbeing. When he arrived in Miami in 2011, he brought that same standard with him and applied it across more than a decade of hands-on work in some of South Florida’s most demanding environments.
He worked as a Home Health Aide, caring for elderly and vulnerable patients who depended on him daily. He worked in warehouse operations, where accountability and discipline keep everything running. He worked security at the Port of Miami, one of the busiest and most complex logistics hubs in the country — learning firsthand how real security operates at scale.
Each chapter added a layer. And when Carlos saw a gap in the market — companies that provided bodies, not professionals — he built the alternative.

Drawing from years of healthcare experience, he has built HEG around professionalism, situational awareness, respectful communication, and a service-first mindset that influences the company’s training standards and daily operations.
